Lost & Found:
At the end of every school year, all unclaimed items in our Lost &
Found container are donated to "Clothesline" (Canadian Diabetes
Association.) Items will be held at the school until June 26th.
If you are missing any student items of clothing, please drop by and examine the
items in this container. Our Lost & Found bin is located in the Main Lobby.
Staffing:
We are still in the process of determining assignments. Once we have all
staff in place, we will send home a letter indicating who will be teaching what
grade levels and/or subjects. We thank you for your patience.
Thank-You:
We are pleased to announce that we have received a donation of $1,000.00
from the Stratford Rotary to our Summer Reading Program. Mrs. Boudreau and Ms.
Hall attended a supper meeting on June 11th to accept the donation.
We thank Stratford Rotary for their continued support.
A special thank-you to all Home & School volunteers who have given of their time this year. Without your support, many activities could not be done. A job well done by all!
Grade 9 Closing Ceremony:
Our Grade Nine students will celebrate their 9 years at Donagh during a
closing ceremony on Tuesday, June 24th at 7:00 p.m. in
the Multi-Purpose Room. Guest Speaker this year is Mr. Dale McIsaac, Principal
of Bluefield Senior High and community member. A little reception and dance will
be held following the ceremony.
School Closing–June 25th:
The final day of classes for students will be held on Wednesday, June
25th. Beginning at 11:00 a.m. we will have an assembly to
thank all adult volunteers. Following this assembly, we will begin ur annual
barbecue. Students and staff will return to their classes after the barbecue to
finish out end-of-year activities. See you all there on Wednesday, June 25th
at 11:00 a.m.

lists on our website. Please go to www.edu.pe.ca/donagh.
School Development Art Work:
As you enter our Lobby, you will be treated to a beautiful mural
produced by both staff and students. Thanks goes to Mrs. Carol Arbing for her
talent and leadership in this project. This project is in support of our second
school development goal, Character Development and Literacy.
Recycle For Education:
We have signed up for this program through Staples. If schools and
households return empty toner cartridges to Staples, we will receive a donation
to our school. The donation would be a gift card for supplies for our school.
Take your empty toner cartridges to Staples and drop them off in their recycle
bin and help out Donagh Regional.
Student Assembly:
We will hold a final student assembly on Tuesday, June 24th
at 9 a.m. At this time, we will acknowledge all contributions of our

SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS
If all schools are to be canceled, parents will be notified by
radio announcements on local stations including CHTN,
Magic 93, CFCY, CBC-FM, Cl02, and Bonjour Atlantique that all schools
in the Eastern School District are closed.
The first notice will be broadcast by 7:00 a.m. Sometimes it may only be necessary to close individual or families of schools. Donagh Regional is a member of the Charlottetown Rural family of schools.
ONE HOUR DELAY
A further announcement regarding delays and/or cancellations will take place by 8:00 a.m.
LATE BUS RUNS
For example, if a bus is delayed 30 minutes, students can expect to meet the bus 30 minutes later than would normally be the case.
SCHOOL CLOSURE DURING THE DAY
PARENTS WHO WILL NOT BE AT HOME WHEN CHILDREN ARRIVE SHOULD MAKE ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE CARE OF THEIR CHILDREN ON SUCH DAYS.
SUGGESTIONS FOR PARENTS
1. Please listen to the radio between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. to determine if schools are operating.
2. Please DO NOT CALL THE SCHOOL BOARD OFFICE or the RADIO STATIONS for information, as this overloads the telephone lines that are often in emergency use.
3. Do not drop children off at school unless you are certain that school is operating that day.
4. MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR CHILDREN IN CASE OF MIDDAY SCHOOL CLOSURES.
5. IF SCHOOLS ARE OPERATING, THE FINAL DECISION TO ATTEND RESTS WITH YOU THE PARENT.
Together we can work to ensure a safe winter for all our children.
