We Have the Answers!

Who is Prince Edward Island Allied Youth for?

PEI AY is a program designed for youth in grades 7-12. Any youth who
lives in the province of Prince Edward Island and is attending junior or
senior high school can attend an Allied Youth meeting.

What is Allied Youth about?

Allied Youth is a an organization that from it's motto "Increases the awareness
of the issues facing youth today". Attempting to improve the lives of today's
youth and have those youth positively impact their local communities and the
world in which they live. We take part in many activities and lifestyle changing
events which are fun and have positive effects on the members who take part.

The Prince Edward Island Allied Youth program has three main issues on
which they focus:

Leadership Development: Teaching the youth to take charge of their lives and
develop themselves to their full potential. Public Speaking, Leadership roles, and
mentally developing today's youth into tomorrow's leaders are the main aims
of the Allied Youth program on Prince Edward Island

Community Involvement: By taking part in their communities Allied Youth members help make their communities stronger, healthier and happier places in which to live. Activities such as visiting a seniors citizen's residence, hosting a local beach-bonfire, taking part in fundraisers or clean-ups which benefit the communities in which the youth are based.

Healthy Lifestyle: Allied Youth are proud innovators in teaching youth the positive benefits of a healthy lifestyle. PEI AY founded the Peer Education Program which trains youth (Grades 10-12) to talk to younger students on the importance of the issues surrounding the drug and alcohol choices that many of today's young people face on a daily basis.

Why should I join Allied Youth?

That is a truly great question you have. With so many activities in which you can
take part in through school or other community ways what makes Allied Youth so
important that you should look into it further. Just ask any Allied Youth member
past and present, we're sure they will tell you that it is an amazing program
which truly impacts your life in many different ways. From learning to speak in front of a group, planning dances or conferences, to just plain having fun meeting new and interesting people from across North America - Allied Youth makes you better and you have a GREAT time taking part in all the fun!
