Your Job: Your job will be confirmed by phone, fax or email in the weeks leading up to the meet.   Please reply to the fax if this is the media by which you are notified.

Assistants: Please bring enough responsible assistants.

Note: Shots and discs will be provided in the correct sizes.  Extra stop watches, rakes, shovels, and tape measures would be greatly appreciated.

Rules for events: We will use the C. T. F. A. rule book.  For a simplified version, click here.

Please know your event rules:  Some special rules may have to be made before the meet starts in view of the time factor.  As it stands, the top six competitors in the horizontal jumps and throws after their first three trials will have three additional jumps or throws.

** A Zone Four rule passed a in 2000 states that competitors must be able to throw a Javelin a minimum of 15 metres.

Entries: A school may enter TWO competitors per event.  Please return your list by 4:00 on Thursday, May 15th to ensure enough time is permitted to get sheets ready.

Note on events: Each competitor may enter a maximum of THREE events plus relays.  An athlete may compete in his or her own classification for events scheduled and may advance one class for events not scheduled in their own age class, or a novice, bantam, or midget may advance one classification for all their events.
The top three finishers in each event at the Zone meet shall advance to the Unit meet on May 29th (the week prior to the Provincials).

Track event priority: Track events take priority over field events.  Instruct your competitors to report to the field event official when an event is called, then excuse themselves if their track event takes place at the same time.  It is imperative that runners report back to their field events as soon as they complete their run.

Supervision/school sign/garbage pick-up: Could you arrange for an adult supervisor to arrange your school in a group?  Give the supervisor a schedule of events.  Competitors should stay close to this area when not competing.  A sign would make the spot easily visible!  Please have your students pick up their garbage as the day goes on.  At the end of the day, people are rushing to get to their busses and sometimes this is over looked.  Schools are asked to bring their own garbage bags and monitors to attend to this area.

Washrooms: Washrooms at the schools are made available to competitors.  Please discuss with your athletes the responsibilities of behaviour in the schools while classes are ongoing.

Lunches: Meets held at Morell High have the cafeteria available to them.  At Montague Consolidated, there will be limited or no canteen available.  Instruct your athletes and helpers to bring plenty of food and liquid for the day.
