    Introduction
    (Curriculum Context - Background Information)

Students will follow the information process through all its stages to complete a report on the author, Avi. This activity is integrated with the grade 7 language arts ("MultiSource") Program.

    General Goals
    (Why are we doing this?)

Students read the novel "Nothing But the Truth" in class and this assignment allowed them to extend their reading of novels by the popular author Avi while learning more about his personal life and writing style. Students prepared a research paper on their findings. Students also examined their own writing.
