    Implementation Plan

    Teacher's Role

    The teacher must put the assignment in the contect of the war and the way that volunteering vs conscription has the potential to split the country.

    The teacher must stress that a balanced view be presented. ie. Not promising a holiday on the beaches of France, but at the same time, not guaranteeing a death sentence for volunteering.

    Teacher-Librarian's Role

    To seek out resources for the teacher, especially related to recruiting posters and WW I information

    Schedule for Activities and Time Frame - 2 weeks

    Step 1

    Introduce the assignment and go through the on line web quest with the students.

    Step 2

    Stress the balance and reality required in the presentation.

    Step 3

    Spend time with individual students at individual computers for research and finding suitable images for the presentation.

    Step 4

    Have students develop the presentation.

    Uniforms and props are wonderful.

    Step 5

    Have students present the presentation, preferably with use of a projection unit.

    Evaluation: Assessment of Students, Evaluation of Activity.
