Birchwood Olympics
Students competed in 15 Olympic sports earning points for their homeroom
country. All students had an action-packed morning with sports ranging from
2-person bobsleigh to short track speed skating. It was one of the best
Birchwood winter carnivals ever.
The winning classes were awarded with their medals in a closing ceremony. Mr.
Doug Currie, Minister of Education and Mr. Richard Brown, Minister of
Environment was in attendance at the closing ceremony and handed out medals to
students and provincial pins to staff .
