Drama Club

The Birchwood Intermediate School Drama Club have a lot of fun preparing for the drama festival and they also meet throughout the year to read plays written by students and others. Students may contact Ms. Connell if they are interested in participating in the drama club.

The 2005-2006 Drama Club, with teacher advisor Ms. Connell and Public Librarian Barb Kissick facilitating, students presented an adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Nicholas Nickleby" on the Confederation Center main stage.

In previous years students had an opportunity to participate in the filming of the opening sequence of a weekly television program while other members had an opportunity to participate in an audio-recording of "The Vagabond Vampires".

The 2004-2005 Drama Club presented an outstanding performance of "The Magical Lamp of Aladdin" on the evening of April 20th at the ESD Drama Festival, held on the main stage of the Confederation Center of the Arts. A sincere thank you to Jennie who created the illustration for our poster and program and to those who supported the Birchwood Drama Club.
