Drug Abuse Prevention
The Charlottetown City Police and Birchwood Intermediate School continue to
develop a partnership through the City Police and Schools Liaison Program.
Constable Gary Clow with the Charlottetown City Police and Margie McLean from
Murphy Pharmacies presented a number of excellent Drug Awareness Presentations
in the Birchwood Library Resource Center for all grade 7, 8, and 9 students. The
Drug Awareness Program is designed to educate and promote awareness of
addictions, and it also provides students with accurate information about drugs
and their effects while incorporating skills to assist in making positive
decisions.
