It was the 4th of June, 2002. Three boys, Nathan, Ben and Anthony, were at their hockey practice. After the practice they walked home. They had to be home at 9:00pm and it was 8:45pm. It took 30 minutes to take the road home and it took 10 minutes through the woods. So they decided to take the woods because it was the short way home.
About half way home, Anthony stopped and asked if they wanted a cigarette that he had stolen from his parents. Nathan, being scared of foxes, said no he didn't want to stop for a sticky, gross cigarette. Ben wasn't going home so he agreed.
Anthony dared Nathan to stick a stick in the entrance of the fox den on the way home because Nathan was scared of them.
Nathan said he would do it because he didn't want his friends to think he was a baby.
He found the den and bravely he stuck the stick into the ground. When he went to leave, he felt a tug at his pant leg. He thought it was a fox and he died of fright. What really happened was he stuck the stick through his pant leg.
