~The Hood~

Sarah and her friends were having a sleepover one night. They told each other scary stories and watched movies. One of the most scary stories they heard was the one about the little empty house up the road.

The house was old with boards nailed over the window. There was a sign that said "No Trespassing" nailed to a tree next to the house.

"I heard it was haunted and if you went on the property, the ghosts would take you and torture you for life!" said Emily, one of Sarah's friends.

All the girls were scared but Sarah! She didn't believe it and thought it was stupid for all of her friends to be scared. The girls thought she was just showing off, so they dared her to go open the door and to go in the house for one minute.

"Sure, I'm scared! I'll go do it now!" Sarah said with confidence.

The girls were surprised she was going to do it and followed Sarah out the door.

They got to the house. It was dark. They slowly stopped at the end of the driveway. The girls were terrified, except Sarah. She looked at the house and smerked. She walked up and grabbed the doorknob and paused... She was getting nervous now. Sarah held her breath and walked in. She shut the creeky door behind her. The girls were still terrified. One of the girls was even crying. About twenty seconds later they heard a scream and then they ran as fast as they could back home.

The next morning the girls called the police and told them everything. The police went in the house and Sarah was lying on the floor. She was dead. Sarah had died from fright because she thoguht the ghosts were trying to take her but it was just her jacket hood that got stuck in the door as she shut it behind her.
