The Midnight Blade

This is a true story that happened to my friend Kathy who was a good friend of a friend of mine. Kathy Midway lived on my friend's street . She was a nice girl, and she was brave as anything; she would do any dare as long as you did it next.

One day Kathy's older brother Sam, who was big, brussly, and not too bright, playfully dared Kathy to go to the grave of Cory Magee, who was a vicious pirate who stopped at nothing to take over any village but it just happened to be this one when one night lightning struck him dead! But one look into her eyes, she simply replied, "Sure, as long as you do it too!"

"But wait," replied Sam, "drive this dagger into his rotten tomb so that we know that you were there!"

So with that Kathy took the dagger and off she went into the night.

The next day Sam found Kathy's body. At the funeral, Sam replied that only the blade was found. Sam actually thought for a miniute, and with Sam not being very smart, that was a big accomplishment.

That night he went to the old grave and dug up the coffin. Can you imagine what he found?

Inside was Cory Magee's skeleton. His hands were folded and his body still, but in his mouth was wedged the dagger stump.  Slowly one bony, rotting hand reached up and ...Wham!  The coffin slammed shut. To this day know one knows what happened to Sam.

Do you believe me?
