Gerry and the Ghost

One day in the cafeteria at St. Peter's School three boys sat at a table and talked about a lady who was buried the day before. One boy named Jeff said that someone murdered her and her ghost swore she'd get her revenge. Another boy named Gerry said that he didn't believe in that sort of thing. The last boy named Joe dared Gerry to go stick a knife in her grave at midnight. Gerry accepted.

That night was very dark and misty. Gerry could hardly see the grave. When he finally found the grave he stuck the knife in.

The next day Joe and Jeff wondered where Gerry was and if the ghost got him.

After school they went to the graveyard and found Gerry dead. The knife was stuck in his pant leg.

You see, when Gerry stuck the knife in the grave it caught his pant leg and he thought the ghost caught him. He died of fright.
