The One Haunted Grave
It was a dark and spooky night. The wolves were howling and the cats were meowing. The birds were sleeping and the bats were peeping. Everyone in town was sleeping, except John MacDonald and his two best friends.
John MacDonald was a 14 year old boy. He wore glasses and was very tall. He had beautiful blue eyes and brown hair. He was one boy that wasn't scared of anything!!! John had two friends, Peter and Billy, over for the night because it was his birthday. They were in a tent outside telling each other ghost stories.
It was Peter's turn to tell a story. Peter told the story about William MacPhee's haunted grave, which was in the graveyard about half a kilometre away from John's house. Peter told how people who went there at night never returned because of that one grave that was haunted. He said hands would come out and grab you and would pull you down, if you went close to that grave. Of course, John didn't believe any of that! He thought it was phoney bologne that the grave was haunted. Then the two friends dared John to go up to that graveyard and put a sharp knife in MacPhee's grave to prove that he was there. John accepted the dare and off he went to the graveyard.
As one hour turned in two, and two turned into three, Peter and Billy were getting worried. As sunrise came Peter and Billy went to the graveyard to see if John was alright. The found John, but he was dead! They saw something sticking out of his shirt. It was the knife! He must have got it caught when he put it in the grave and died of fright.
From that day on, the story about that one haunted grave is still on everyone's mind!
