Die Trying

Long ago on a black starry night, three close friends were somewhat celebrating after a volleyball match.

At about 10:30 pm Melanie's father came in and told them that it was time to go to bed because they had church in the morning. Melanie and two her friends had no intention of going to bed, and then they played a game of Truth or Dare. They played the game for a few hours, and then Melanie decided to go to sleep. The two friends, however, didn't want to. By this time it was roughly midnight. As the last dare - not aware it would be the last dare that they would ever make - the two girls woke Melanie up and dared her to sleep outside in the shed.

There had been a murderer that had gotten loose from the nearby jail, who was determined to make everybody pay for his time in jail. Strangely enough, he was hiding in the big, dark, scary woods by Melanie's house!

Melanie, who did not believe the murderer was nearby, accepted the dare and took her pillow and her sleeping bag out to the big shed.

The next morning, Melanie went back into the house, only to find everyone dead!

The police officers said that the mother had died from stress related injuries. The little baby who had medical problems had stopped breathing causing him to die. The two friends, it was said that they died due to the high winds that had broken the windows and they must have thought that it was the killer because they both had died of fright.

The next day the police found Melanie in the graveyard hanging from a tree by her scarf. There was a note nailed to the tree that said, "Everyone will pay!" The letters were in blood!  A coincidence, or was it?
