Friday Night Revenge

Joey Freeman lived above Charles' Funeral Home with his friend Derek Bradley. They were renting the apartment while attending Johnson's College.
One Friday night the guys had a couple of friends over and they were having a little party. Their talking got around to Mr. Mullen, their history professor, who hadn't been in school the last couple of days.
"I'm pretty sure it's because his mom died," Derek told the others, "because I saw him downstairs beside a coffin that had Mary Mullen's name written on the side."
"Well, I wish she could have died a few days earlier," Joey grumbled, "because then I would have had extra time to study for my history exam."
"Mr. Mullen sure is mean," another boy commented.
"I know, everyone hates him," Derek said.
"Ya, I wish I could figure out a way to get back at him for failing me, " Joey commented.
"Maybe there is a way," Derek said mischieviously.
"How?," the other boys all said in unison.
"Well, it's his mom downstairs right?" Derek said.
"Ya," Derek said slowly.
"So why don't you teach Mr. Mullen a lesson by taking the shoes off his mother's corpse," Joey finished.
The boys all gasped.
"You wouldn't dare," another boy whispered.
Joey sat in deep thought. "Well as long as no one tells, and I don't get in trouble," Joey finally said.
"OK!" the boys all shouted.
Derek went and got a flashlight and gave it to Joey. "Be careful," he warned.
"No problem," Joey said with confidence. "I'll be back in ten minutes."
The other boys all sat down to watch a movie while they waited but ten minutes passed and then another. The boys were starting to get nervous when Joey hadn't returned after an hour. They soon all dropped off to sleep.
When morning came and Joey wasn't back they decided to investigate. They all went downstairs and saw Joey lying beside the coffin. He was dead.
It turns out that when Joey used a knife to open the coffin, the blade had gone through the sleeve of his sweat-shirt. When he couldn't move his arm, he thought that the corpse had grabbed hold of him, and he had died instantly of fright.
This is a true story. It happened to a friend of a friend of mine!
