The Statue of the Unborn Baby

by Sara

"Okay, tell me a freaky story, you can't scare me," said Jillian to her friend Ally.

"Fine, what one will it be tonight?"

"There once was this beautiful woman who was pregnant with a baby girl. On the day the woman went into labour, the doctors told her she would have to make the hardest decision of her life. She had the choice to live out the rest of her life but the baby would die or to have the baby but she herself would die. The woman, shocked and in disbelief, felt like there were hundreds of painful pins stabbing into her heart. Right then and there the unfortunate woman died of heartbreak. Later a statue of the woman holding the baby she never had was built. They now say she is back to get anyone who dares to disturb her and her helpless baby. Anyone who stays the night in the dark, dreary, graveyard with the statue will die a long, painful and heart breaking death!"

"Oh, I don't believe that one bit!" Jillian said so confidently.

"That's just because you're so stubborn."

"I am not!"

"So you don't believe it!? I dare you to stay the long, dark and damp night with the mysterious statue!"

"No problem! I will see you tomorrow at the graveyard!"

The next morning Ally went to see if Jillian lasted the whole night. She saw Jillian pinned down under a blanket with four sharp knives holding her helpless to the ground. Alley walked closer. As she came near she saw hundreds of pins stabbed into her friend's heart. Ally screamed for help but it was far too late, the poor girl was dead!

Not once after that did anyone dare to disturb the beautiful woman or her darling baby.
