Lester
Bowles Pearson was born on April 23, 1897 in Toronto, Ontario. He
was Canada's Foreign Minister from 1948-1957. Lester B. Pearson
was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1957 because of his role as a
politican and because of his powerful initiative, strength, and the
perseverance that he displayed helping to prevent or to limit war
operations and to help restore peace.
Lester
Pearson believed that the time will come when it is possible,
through the United Nations, to realize the dream of a worldwide
community of all nations and races.
