Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa attended a non-catholic government school, and that is where she became interested in religion, particularly in the missionaries.  At the age of 15, she worked for the Bengal mission.  At the age of 18 she became a nun.  She began her work in Calcutta in 1948.  For almost 40 years she worked for the poorest people in India and throughout the world.  In 1979, Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
