Norman Borlaug


Norman Borlaug was born on March 15, 1914 on a farm near Cresco, Iowa. For 27 years he worked with scientists on wheat improvement.  His research helped Pakistan, India, and other countries improve their food production. The Nobel Peace Prize was presented to Dr. Norman Borlaug in 1970 because he has helped to provide bread for a hungry world.
