Student of the Month - December
Mitchel Leblanc

Mitchel is one of our top students in grade 12. He is the man behind the cool posters that you’ve seen though out the school. He has made posters for Frosh Week, student council, SADD, the newspaper, the Youth Showcase at Harmony House and the band just to name a few. He is also a member of the student council , the RAP team, SAGL and GAB. He also plays an active role in his church where he works with the Children of Hope Foundation.

Artist of the Month - December
 Tenley McCrimmon


In Ms Hastelow's absence before Christmas, Tenley took over the direction of the Christmas skit, and did a fantastic job both of directing and showing leadership in other areas as well. She kept everyone organized, brought in a lot of props and costume items from home, and was 100% reliable and committed to the skit, which incidentally, was a huge success in the Christmas concert!

Tenley enjoys writing , is involved in the creative writing group here at Bluefield, and has been working with guest author, Yvette Doucette, to improve her writing ability. She is also a keen participant in this year's musical, Fame! Outside school, she enjoys reading and is an avid Harry Potter fan!

Female Athlete of the Month December
Sydney Foy

Sydney is a grade 10 student and plays on the AAA basketball team. She plays as guard/ wing and was instrumental in Bluefield’s first league win scoring 19 points. Sydney was also selected for several tournament player of the game awards in exhibition play.

Jonathan Hovingh


Jonathan is a grade 11 student and plays  on the AAA basketball team. He plays as point guard and  was instrumental in Bluefield’s first league win scoring 27 points. Jonathan was also selected for several tournament player of the game awards in exhibition play
