Students of the Month - December 2010
Angelina MacLellan and Rebecca Dawson

 

Together these two students, show great leadership, and are always taking initiative in class and out of class. This was evident when they took on the Mikunduri fund-raiser, a talent show raising money for children in need in Kenya. The girls organized auditions and acts, ticket sales, volunteers, judges and made sure that the show ran smoothly by being backstage helping with set up and take down. With the talent show, we raised over two thousand dollars for Mikunduri. I am very proud to have Rebecca and Angelina as students, and think they would be excellent candidates for this distinction. Well done, Angelina and Rebecca!


Artist of the Month - December 2010
Vincent Hughes

 

 

Vincent is one of our top band students in the Grade 12 Ensemble. He plays the Euphonium. He is also a trambone player in the jazz band and is also a member of the honours band. Mrs. Blanchard states that Vincent is an “incredible musician. He is superb at his craft”. Congratulations Vincent!

Jenna Jo MacDonald

Jenna Jo was honored recently by Soccer P.E.I. as Junior Female of the Year. Jenna is a grade 12 student who helped our Bobcat women's soccer team win a provincial AAA championship in November. Well done, Jenna Jo!

Nathan MacQuarrie


 

Nathan has been working extremely hard preparing for the provincial power lifting championships. He has also been showing great leadership in the wellness centre as well as throughout the school. Congratulations Nathan!
