Student of the Month - January 2011 |
Cameron Francis |
![]() |
Cameron has been working with the Student Council Executive for this school year, and is always looking for ways to promote school spirit and to reach out to others. In particular, he has worked with the other student council members to spearhead numerous spirit days, themed activities, and school dances. What also stands out about Cameron, is that he lead Bluefield in reaching out to the KISH community during their time of need when they lost one of their student council members to a tragic car accident in the fall. He lead our school in supporting that family and school when they needed it the most by organizing a Green & White day and having cards signed by our entire school which he later presented to the family. These actions were recognized by many all over PEI and demonstrated the care and concern that Bluefield Bobcats have for others despite what school they attend. |
Artist of the Month - January 2011 |
Patrick Jeffrey |
|
Our artist of the month for January is Patrick Jeffrey. Patrick plays the trumpet in the school band, along with several other instruments, including a mean ukelele! He played lead roles in both High School Musical and Fame, and is somewhat of a master of improv and character development as well. He has emceed numerous events here at school, and is also a talented writer. The reason we are recognizing Patrick this month, however, is because he is the only Bluefield finalist after auditions to become a host on NEXT TV, a web channel being produced here on PEI which involves a series of initiatives designed to assist young people with career awareness and planning as they prepare for the world of work. The combination of Patrick's comedic, vocal, and writing talents make him an ideal candidate for this type of work, and a great ambassador for Bluefield. Well done, Patrick!
