Class Supply ListsGrades 1- 3Pay a class supplies fee. Grade 4/5Dear Parents/Guardians, We look forward to meeting you and teaching your child next year. This is a list of supplies students will need in September: Sharpener with cover to collect shavings Pencils (not "click" pencils with leads) 3 Good Quality Erasers (e.g. a white Staedtler) Ruler Scissors 3 Large Glue Sticks (not liquid) Twistable Colored pencils or crayons (markers are not needed) 16 (8" x 10") lined scribblers (not coiled-edged, please) 6 duotang folders (folder-type scribblers that hold loose-leaf paper) loose leaf paper (lined) 1 pkg. Construction Paper (small) Small Black Dry Erase Markers (for Math mini white boards) We request that you do not purchase coil-edged scribblers or five-subject scribblers. Students will be using homework agenda notebooks. These notebooks have been used successfully in the past, and provide a more organized approach to home and school communication. Each child will be required to bring $8.00 to cover the cost of these notebooks. Please do NOT purchase binders; they are not needed for classroom supplies. It is essential that students have a book bag, so that school books may be kept in the best possible condition. Also, as you are aware, the school promotes environmentally friendly lunches. We recommend reusable snack and juice containers and lunch bags or boxes. We hope this guide will be of assistance when you purchase school supplies. Have a wonderful summer! Grades 4 & 5 Teachers Grade 6Dear Parents/Guardians,
It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by and summer is here once again. I am busy preparing for the upcoming school year. The following is a list of supplies that your child will need in September for Grade 6: pencil case 10 duotangs with pockets (if possible) pencils (10-12) 1 binder pencil sharpener (pkg of 2) 4 packages of loose leaf (1 for French) 2 packages of 3 white erasers 1 package of page protectors (about 20) 1 package of 3 glue sticks student dictionary (words in bold) coloring pencils student thesaurus (words in bold) scissors 1 pkg of smaller scribblers centimeter ruler 1 writing journal (Dollarstore variety) construction paper 1 highlighter (any color) deodorant (to keep in their desk for gym) a box of kleenex I use the binder in grade six for math. It is necessary to have a binder as there are a lot of sheets to pass out and complete. This is the best way for organization. It is better to have binders less that 1" as students only have so much room in kit bags and desks. It may be helpful to look for the ones that have a soft cover and are similar to a plastic duotang but with rings. Students will need 10 duotangs to start off the year. Duotangs should also include a page protector. Students will be required to purchase an agenda for homework. Spelling homework will be assigned on a weekly basis. Please have binders and duotangs ready to go for the first day of school Any extra supplies should stay at home and be replenished as the year progresses. I look forward to meeting with you and teaching your child next year. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. Have a wonderful summer! Sincerely, Grade 6 Teacher
