Thank you: Staff expressed appreciation to the H&S for organizing the staff appreciation week treats and luncheon.

PD Update: Teachers are working on a writing project for next year. The goal is to have a school wide writing day next year.

Interviews: There was a great turn out for interviews. There are optional interviews at the end of April.

Science Fair: Students did a great job with this and we have three students moving on to the provincials.

Easter Seals: Students raised over $500 this year. There will be an assembly on Friday and Jason has purchased ice cream treats to reward the students for doing so well with Easter Seals this year. As well, grades 4-6 will be having a sock hop and there will be a jr high vs teachers ball hockey game.

After School Clubs: These continue to run well.

Kindergarten: We currently have 14 students registered and are hoping to be able to keep both of our teachers.

Online Surveys: Parents have til the end of March to complete these.

Old Business:

ESD Trustee: The last ESD meeting was cancelled because the board was abolished. Patsy MacLean has been appointed as the new trustee. The government is saying there won’t be a board election until the regularly scheduled one in June 2012.

Playground Fundraising: Amanda needs a letter saying how much money we need to raise and for what type of equipment in order to get a website set up linked with K Rock. Amanda and Catherine from K Rock will be walking from Montague to the school on May 7th. We are hoping to get a crowd of people to walk a portion of White’s Road with them.

New Business:

Home and School AGM: This is being held April 16th at the Charlottetown Hotel. We have to register by April 1st.

Parent Participation Program: Grade 4 (Andrea Murnaghan) was the winner of the cake.
