Home and School

We are very fortunate to have a hard working and supportive Home and School. The dedicated parents who form the nucleus of this group lobbied the government for a new school and had representatives on the construction planning committee. When the new school was a reality, another committee was formed to raise money for playground equipment. To date they have raised more than forty thousand dollars.

In addition to these big efforts, the Donagh Regional Home and School donate books to the library in honor of past executive members, provide prizes for science and heritage fairs, graduation exercises, swimming lessons, and provide an end of year barbeque for all students and staff.

In 2002, Home and School and Fund Raising Committee have donated new basketball uniforms to the school and a FM system to the grade 5 classroom. Their major fundraisers are the community calendar and a community auction. A pancake breakfast fundraiser was held on January 18, 2004 to raise money for classroom literature for grades 1-9.

In 2004-2005, the home and school continue to help our music program by raising needed money for musical instruments.
