EAST WILTSHIRE INTERMEDIATE
Boys' Flag Football - Practice today at the turf 3:30-4:30. Players are to take Bus #171. Please hand in any permission forms and $ to Ms. Sanderson.
There WILL be jazz band
rehearsal today after school. Those members going to the play please go to the
band room as soon as you get back.
Grade 9 band students: Please get
your band exchange forms, money and police background checks into Mr. Nabuurs as
soon as possible. The fee is $75, cash or cheque made payable to East Wiltshire
School.
Notice to ALL band students: The
Eastern School District Band Camp Forms are now available from Mr. Nabuurs or in
the main office. Please make sure you bring the registration form back with cash
or a cheque made payable to East Wiltshire School. You can pass in completed
registration forms to Mr. Nabuurs OR to the main office.
All grade 7 and 8 band students are
reminded to return band contracts for next year to the box outside Mr. Nabuurs
office in the band room ASAP, no later than Friday.
Track -There will be a training
session today for track at UPEI from 5:00 – 6:30. The team is still looking
for more members so please come out tonight. Monday will be the last date to
join the team in preparation for the zone meet in three weeks.
Girls’ Softball game is
cancelled for today! There will be a practice in the gym at 3:15 pm.
Congratulations to all Duke students who
received their bronze award last night. There were 31 students from EWS
who received their award.
Would the following students please
meet 3rd period in the leadership room: Ellen Ross,
Ashley Andrews, Andrew Chapman, Alex Ewing, Emma MacDonald.
Any students interested in trying out for
Field Events ( Long Jump, Triple Jump, Discuss, Shotput) for this year's
track and field team should obtain a consent form in the gym and hand it in to
Ms. Smith. Tryouts will begin next week.
Yearbooks - Anyone wishing to
preorder a yearbook may still do so through the office. Please have the
exact change $26.00.
Boys’ Softball - The boys’
softball season started off the season very strong by winning their first game
of the season over Birchwood 15 - 0. Winning pitchers were Logan Gallant
and Marshall McIsaac. Top batters for the home team were Sam McPhail and
Tyson Hay. Boys play again today at 4:30 pm in Montague. Boys
traveling to Montague are to be ready at the Grade 7 doors by 3:00 O’clock.
Congratulations to both Volleyball
teams who participated in the Provincial Championships. The
"A" Team won the Championships defeating SIS in the final, and the
"B" Team finished fourth. All-stars for the tournament were
Haley Wilting on the "A" Team and Katie Llewelyn on the "B"
Team. Special mention to Tessa Craig who filled in for missing players and
did a superb job. All uniforms are to be passed in to Mr. MacAdam.
Congratulations to Ms. MacKinley
Curran’s class for winning the pizza party. This class sold the most
tickets to the talent show.
The Cornwall Bantam AAA Baseball
tryouts will be this Wednesday, May 11 at the Eliot River School at the
lower field at 6:00 pm.
