Eliot River School Library Resource Center is an important learning environment where students, teachers, and teacher-librarian work together on activities directly related to the curriculum being followed in classrooms. What is Happening?Open Book Exchange - everyday from 8:25 - 9:00 Regular Library Periods - grades four, five and six come to the library every 6 day cycle to learn library skills, and exchange books. Resource-based learning projects - classes come at various times during the year, either in small groups or as a whole, to work on research projects, author studies, novel studies, internet activities, learning stations, etc... . Book Fairs - twice a year.
The Library Program Involves
This is a student-centered approach that focuses on students using a wide variety of books, electronic and human resources.
Students learn how to access, interpret, evaluate, organize, select, produce and communicate using a variety of texts, media and technologies.
