Principal's Message

     On behalf of all staff and students at Eliot River, I would like to welcome first time as well as returning visitors to our web site. It is our hope that parents and children from across P.E.I. as well as the World Wide Web will find our links informative, entertaining, and challenging.
     On September 13, 1973 the Honorable W. Bennett Campbell, Minister of Education, laid the cornerstone to the school we call home. Eliot River is located in Cornwall, Prince Edward Island and this community is one of the fastest growing centres on P.E.I. We have a total staff of 48 people serving the needs of over 400 students in grades four through six, in a dual track English and French Immersion environment.
    The school has had a history of being very active, and many of these activities and programs are highlighted in our links. I wish to commend our staff for their tireless efforts in promoting, creating, and implementing many innovative instructional and extracurricular activities that contribute to a student-centered and community-involved elementary school.
