Activity #1
Using Google Presentations, you are to create a slideshow which explains how to do something...
It could be as simple as how to brush your teeth or something as complicated as how to build a car.
You will need a minimum of 5 slides with graphics and pictures. These will be shared with me at jtrain123@gmail.com . They will also be presented to the class.
Your mark will be based on creativity, grammar and effort in class.

Activity #2
Using Ultra Slideshow, you will need to create a slideshow with a minimum of 4 slides. The topic is "Your Family". If you have any pictures from home, try putting them on a memory stick to add them.
Also, you can give a paper copy to me and I will scan them in from home. They will then be sent to your Gmail account.

Activity #3
1) Front Page Express tutorial. We will begin working with a "wysiwyg" (What You See Is What You Get) program to create web pages. Students will learn exactly how to create web pages.

2) You will now have the option of using Front Page 2000. This program has many more abilities and capabilities. You are going to create a webpage all about you.

Activity #4
1) Paint Shop Pro 9 (on your student directory)
With this program, you will be able to "manipulate" photos...edit, merge, resize, etc.

This site will give you a thorough walk-through of the program.
2a) You will need to create a 2 into 1 image. It should look like an original photo, but it is really 2 photos combined.
2b) Next, you will need to add yourself to a picture...try combining 3-4 images to create this new picture.

Activity #5
This site allows you to create your own comic strips. You will need to set up your own account. Make sure you show your age as "over 19". You will need to create a 4-panel comic.

1) "Audacity" - Sound Mixing/Editing - Read the walkthough completely before starting.

2) You will be asked to create a "mix" of 5-6 TV themes. There should be no pauses between songs and it should "flow" smoothly.
*Feel free to play with the song (enhance it, add echoes, etc.)
3) You will need to "burn" the mix onto a CD using "Nero", which is on each computer in the lab.

From now until the end of the month, we will have some exposure to Alice and Sketch-Up.
