Englewood School Peaceful School Initiatives
March Assembly

This assembly was a huge success.  It was put on by the grades 4,5, and 6 classes.  However, like every other assembly it had participation from the primary and Jr. High classes, as well.

We are were very honored to have Bob Gray of the Eastern School district on hand to present Englewood School with their "League Of Peaceful Schools Flag".    We are now an official member of this league of schools that runs across north America.

Grade 4- Role Plays - "The Right Way Vs. The Wrong Way".

Grade 5-  "Forms of Respect" a skit on the different forms of respect.

Grade 6 - "Don't Feed The Monster on Tuesdays" , A short play on self esteem and respect.

Grade 1 - "I Show Respect" - a short play and based on a story, the children wrote verses from the stories and acted out parts.  They also drew pictures to go with them.

Grade  7 - Debate - Students were given a controversial subject and a they had to be on the pro or con side.  Respect of Opinions was discussed.

Presentations - Mrs. Stokes made a presentation to a number of students were "Caught" in the act of doing something kind.
