Approximately 20 students in grades 5 and 6 have been trained in basic communication and conflict resolution skills, and how to facilitate a mediation process.  Each of the peer mediators put this work to use during noon hours.  Students take on leadership roles and practice their newly acquired skills in a wide variety of ways.

                Peer Mediators Are Trained To:

Supervise indoor games rooms
Lead games and structured activities on the school playground
Acting as a mentor or big buddy to students who may require some additional support
Assisting students in resolving minor conflicts and facilitating mediations between students.
