Englewood School Peaceful School Initiatives
P.S.I. Period

To ensure the integrity and success of our Peaceful School Initiatives we have set aside one period in our whole school for all grade levels, all students, all staff  to work simultaneously on various peace-related activities.

We are most proud of this common time as it provides us with an on-going
mechanism to keep our school a safe, comfortable place for everyone.

Here are some of the things that classes at our school work at during the P.S.I Period.

Focus on Bullying Lessons

Since l999-2000, we have been using the Focus on Bullying program in which we actively teach skills, and model peaceful ways of living and learning together. This program focuses on ensuring that all students know what bullying is, and how they can prevent or respond to it.

Activities Connected To School Theme

Each grade level has been provided with binders complete with suggested activities organized and geared to each theme.
