ANNOUNCING - - - A NEW WEBSITE
FOR THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL BOARD.
February 8, 2013 –
The English Language School Board has launched its
NEW WEBSITE. The
new site is still under construction, and additional information
and resources will be added over the next few months. During
that time, we ask you to refer to this (former Eastern School
District) and former Western
School Board sites for information not found on the new ELSB
site. We thank you for your cooperation and patience.

| The Eastern School District is the largest school
district on Prince Edward Island, reaching from Crapaud to East Point.
It consists of 36 schools, serving approximately 13,400 students in
grades K through 12. The District is administered from the school
district office, located in the town of Stratford; and is currently
governed by an official trustee appointed by the Minister of Education
and Early Childhood Development. |

The Eastern School
District logo design incorporates two stylized figures symbolizing
students reaching for excellence, three stars representing the three
levels of schools, and an oak tree of historic significance from the
Island Crest symbolizing the tree of learning.
