Storm/Meeting Cancellation Procedures

EASTERN SCHOOL DISTRICT: |

District-Wide Meeting |
- If two or more families of schools are closed for the day, all
District-wide meetings will be cancelled. (If only one family of
schools is closed, the meeting will proceed as scheduled.)
- If there is a one-hour delay of schools that affects two or more
families of schools, the District-wide meeting will be held with a
one-hour delay. (If only one family of schools is delayed, the
meeting will proceed as scheduled.)
- If a District-wide meeting is scheduled for the afternoon and
two or more families of schools close before the meeting is to
begin, the meeting will be cancelled. (If only one family of schools
closes before the meeting is to begin, the meeting will proceed as
scheduled.)

School Group/Individual Meetings |
- When weather is a factor, small group and individual meetings
arranged by consultants, psychologists, coaches or other ESD Board
Office personnel will be confirmed or cancelled by the organizer.

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION: |
- If school is delayed or cancelled due to weather-related travel
conditions for any school board or family of schools in the
province, the meeting is cancelled for that day. This policy is
automatic and announcements to this effect will not be put on radio
stations. Saturday and evening meetings will be handled on a
meeting-by-meeting basis.
