Charlottetown Police Investigated Persons of Interest in Internet Threat Against Charlottetown Rural High School
Charlottetown Police have identified one person of interest in an internet shooting threat made against a local school on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. One male youth from the Charlottetown area has been questioned in relation to the case and police have seized one computer system. “We can confirm that it was a hoax and there was no real intent to carry through with the threat that was made,” said Deputy Gary McGuigan. Police are conducting a forensic exam on the seized computer and are considering criminal code charges of uttering threats. The investigation is ongoing.
