Welcome to Georgetown Elementary School. On behalf of all our students, staff, members of the Parent Council, and Allied Youth, we would like to welcome visitors to our web site. It is our hope that as the year progresses you will get to know the programs and policies we offer and actively participate in the life of our school.
This year, Georgetown Elementary has a population of 86 students in Grades One through Eight. We are very proud of our students and all that they accomplish. Their success would not be possible without the dedication of parents and teachers, and we are very fortunate to have the support of the community in all we do here at the school. We are committed to providing a safe and caring environment for all students. We encourage each student to reach their academic potential as they grow as learners. An example of Georgetown Elementary School's dedication has been our commitment to a morning breakfast program.
In addition to the academics offered at the school, we are very involved in extracurricular activities. We are a recognized CAHPERD school that meets the physical needs of our students on a daily basis. We run a successful noon time intramural program and our students are very involved in extracurricular interscholastic sports, and recreational sports clubs. Georgetown students have the opportunity to be involved in other activities that we view as extensions of the curriculum like science and heritage fairs as well as student leadership programs. We remain committed to further developing programs that meet the needs of our students.
Just like our students, we are very proud of the accomplishments of our school. In closing, we would like to thank you for dropping by our site. We will continue to improve and update our site, so please return soon. Like this site, the doors of our school are open for you as well. Please drop by and visit with us. We wish everyone much success in the upcoming year!
Sincerely,
Norbert
