Glen Stewart Home and School

The Glen Stewart Home and School acts as our school council, and meets the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00p.m. We have fourteen representatives from all the areas our school encompasses, which gives all our children and parents a voice.

We are very fortunate to have our principal and at least one staff member attend each of our meetings. This gives us a better view of day to day life at Glen Stewart, and makes it easier for discussion between home and school.

We believe our children should not have to fundraise, so over the last few years we have held two Family Fun Days, and last November we hosted our first annual Craft Fair. The proceeds from these events made it possible for us to support and/or purchase the following: Chess Club, Reading Corner, Peer Mediation, Hush Ups, A/V Equipment, Youth Can Do, Grade 6 Closing, Staff Appreciation, ChildFind Fingerprinting, Bus Driver Appreciation, Memorial Tree Grove, Stained Glass Memorial, Encyclopedias.

We extend an invitation to all parents to attend our meetings. It is your opportunity to become involved in your child's education, and have a voice in decisions made through our organization.
