The Home and School is a wonderful place for parents/guardians to find out how their child's school works and to get involved!

Our goal is to make Glen Stewart the best learning environment for our children and a vibrant part of our childrens' lives and their community.

Research shows that children with involved parents/guardians feel more connected to their school, achieve better results and get the most out of their experience in school.

About this year's Home and School:

We want to emphasize the informal nature of meetings this year.

The "business" part of the meeting will be secondary to the "Laugh and Learn" sessions.

We want to get more parents involved by offering information they can use at our meetings.

We also want to increase our numbers by encouraging one parent per class to commit to a meeting this year.

We will offer fun activities for the children whose parents are at the meeting -- to make these meetings "events" that the children WANT to come to.

We will also try to offer sessions where parents and children can participate together.
