Grand Tracadie Elementary School, situated next to the picturesque North Shore of Prince Edward Island, offers a highly personalized education experience for students.  Our close proximity to the PEI National Park influences our continued awareness of environmental issues within our community and beyond has led our school to acquiring Jade Status (over 250 environmental projects completed by the school through SEEDS Canada Foundation).

Our small rural school strongly encourages parent and community involvement and offers a warm and welcoming environment to all those who enter our building.  Students are provided with a rich educational experience which includes an outdoor Physical Education program (cross country skiing, snow shoeing, skating, in addition to soccer, baseball, volleyball and basketball).  In inclement weather we are fortunate to have access to the well equipped facilities at the North Shore Community Center in nearby Covehead.  Students also enjoy music classes provided by a qualified music educator and take part in Drama and Music Festivals.

Our well equipped computer lab is available to students on a daily basis and to the general public during specified evening hours through the support of the Community Access Program.  Our Memorial Library houses over 3,000 titles which include fiction and non-fiction titles as well as an audio library and a professional reference section for teachers.

We believe that our small school provides a unique educational setting for students to learn and for teachers to teach.
