Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How many books may I borrow?

A. There is no limit to the number of fiction books. The number of non-fiction books may be limited if other students are researching a similar topic.

 

Q. How long before I have to return or renew my books?

A. Books are loaned for two weeks - they can be renewed if they are not needed by other students or staff.  Magazines have an overnight rental.

 

Q. What if I haven't finished the books in 2 weeks?

A. Books will be renewed if they have not been requested by other students or staff.

 

Q. When is the library open?

A. 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

 

Q. Where do I return books?

A. All books MUST be returned into the Book Return slot located in the circulation desk.

 

Q. Is there a photocopier?

A. The photocopier is located in the office. The cost is .10 a page.

 

Q. Do I need to sign up for computer use?

A. There is a sign up sheet at the circulation desk. You must also leave your student id card.

 

Q. How do I book the seminar rooms?

A. There is a binder on the circulation desk.

 

Q. What happens if I lose a book?

A. You must replace the book or pay the replacement amount.

 

Q. Will the librarian buy books which I recommend or want to read?

A. YES. This is your library and we welcome your suggestions for consideration.

 

Q. Where are the french books?

A. In the conference room along two walls.
