It was a Friday
afternoon and the sun was shining. It was time
for show-and-tell. Gina Crosby went first and she
brought in a rock from Africa. It is so cool. It
was shiny and it was so soft and smooth. It was
just so pretty. Gina was being a show-off because
she thought her show-and-tell was the coolest and
better than everyone else's. Everybody was
whispering so the teacher couldn't hear them,
"That is so cool" and "I wish I
had that."

It was the end of the day and we were on the bus
going home. I got home and I called my friend
Amber and asked her if she wanted to come over.
Amber replied "I will come over after my
hockey." "What time is your hockey over
at?" I said to Amber. Amber shouted, "It
is over at 6:00 so I will be over at 7:00 because
I have to shower. I have to go to hockey now. Bye." It felt like it was a day until she got to my
house. Me and Amber have been best friends since
we were 4 years old.
The next day I went to Heather's house because
she lives right next to me. Heather's mom opened
the door and Peanut (her dog) jumped right into
my arms. I asked her mom, "Would Heather be
able to come out and play at my house?"
Kelly whispered because she just woke up "Yes,
she can go over to your house for a couple of
hours. I will go and get her." When Kelly
came back downstairs she said, "She just has
to brush her teeth." I waited at the door
for about 5-6 minutes then she finally came
downstairs. Heather said to me, "I'm all
ready to go to your house." Me and Heather
walked to my house. We were at my house in my
room and Heather was so happy she shouted, "I
have the greatest idea!" I shouted "WHAT,
WHAT IS YOUR GREAT IDEA IDEA!" Heather was
still shouting "We can bring in zoo animals
for show-and-tell and that is way cooler then a
rock from Africa." I said, "That is a
fantastic idea Heather, YOU ROCK!"

So on Monday before school we went to the zoo and
we asked Heather's aunt if we could take some of
the animals to school. Heather's aunt said, "Sure, go ahead!" So we took a
elephant, tiger, and a giraffe. Heather's aunt is
so nice she will let her do anything. Me and
Heather got to school befoer the teacher so we
had all the animals in the class. When the
teacher walked in about 5 minutes later she
stoped and just fainted. After about 5-6 minutes
she got up and her face was as red as a tomato.
Ms.B was yelling her head off, "What in the
tarnation is going on there?" I kinda
whispered because I thought we were in big
trouble. "We brought them in for show-and-tell
Ms. B." Ms.B was shouting "What were
you thinking girls!" The rest of the class
came and sat down like nothing was there. When
the class sat down the teacher said in a weird
voice "This is Heather and Emma's show-and-tell
class." The class said things like "ooo"
and "aah."

It was about 1 hour into the class and we heard
the principal coming. As quickly as we could we
pushed the animals into the closet. We had a lot
of trouble getting the elephant in the closet .
The principal came in and yelled, "What in
the tarnation is going on in there? I heard a lot
of noise coming from here!" Everybody was
saying "nothing, nothing no nothing is in
there." So the principal left and the
animals broke the closet door and fell out. Some
of the kids looked out the door to see if anyone
was there. Nobody was there so we got all the
animals out but we couldn't get the elephant out.
So we got all them back in again. We put the
animals into the corner and the class tried do
decide what to do with them.

Then finally Max said, "We can put them out
the window." The teacher said, "That is
a great idea!" So we broke the window and
put the elephant out first, and the other animals
just bounced right back up. They bounced right
off his tummy. We had to put them more over to
the right. Heather, the teacher and I went down
the stairs and got the animals.

We walked the
animals back to the zoo and Ms.B told Heather's
aunt to never let us take them again. We walked
back to school and the teacher wrote my mom a
note. At the end of the day I brought the note to
my mom and she said "That must have been a
great day." I laughed and said, "IT WAS
MOM"!
