Rabbits

Chapter 1

I know a lot about rabbits because I have rabbits of my own. I learned some information about rabbits from watching and reading about them. I have had my two oldest rabbits for 5 years so they are 5 years old. I have two more rabbits and I had them for 2 years so they are 2 years old. My youngest is a angora rabbit and I had him for 3 months so he is 3 months old. One of our oldest rabbits had babies but they only lived for a couple of days. For some reason all the rabbits that I adopt are always boys but I have a girl now, so I have two boys and one girl. My rabbits' names are Tigger, Scoot and Molly. My sister's rabbits names are Scoob and Blossom. I adopted a rabbit for my sister in case something happens to one of her rabbits. My sister does not know that I adopted it for her. I will tell her soon or later. It is a creamy color so I call it Cream. He or she has really big eyes, small feet and two little wide ears.

Chapter 2
Full grown rabbits aren't supposed to eat carrots because it is like poison to some of them. They eat pellets, cauliflower, celery, cabbage, grass, leaves, cow parsley, plantain and thistles.

Chapter 3
A house rabbit does not have to live in a house, it can live outside too! Rabbits live in warrens (warrens are tunnels that rabbits live in), fox pens (for pet rabbits), in a house and out in the wild. My rabbits live in a fox pens because they are my pets.

Chapter 4
You should check on your rabbits twice a day. At lunchtime and at suppertime. You have to clip their nails once a year so they don't get too long. If they are too long and your rabbit is not very comformable around you they might get scared and try to defend themselves by scratching. It is important to feed them twice a day. To give them lots of love and care. To not bother them when they are sleeping. For an a angora rabbit you have to brush their fur every second day all year! Another fact about angora rabbits is to clip their fur twice a year so they won't look like a mop.My rabbit is matted because you aren't supposed to brush them in the winter. If you do, they will think that they are going to get brushed everyday and then they will wait for you at the door. If you aren't there, they will probably be disappointed. Angora rabbits shed a lot. That is a good thing, not a bad thing . They are supposed to shed because if it is summer and if it sheds it won't sweat and if is winter it will grow back its' fur just so your rabbit does not get too cold in the winter.

Chapter 5
Baby rabbits are born to be 4 to 5 inches long and grow up to be 10 to 16 inches long. It depends what kind of rabbit it is to be a different size, the Flemish giant and angora would be about the same size. The Flemish giant is a lot bigger than the English lop. They are very tiny compared to the Flemish giant.

Chapter 6
There are many different kinds of rabbits such as the French Lop, English Lop, Angora, Flemish Giant, Dutch, Dwarf, and the Himalayan.
