About Greenfield

Greenfield Elementary School houses English students from Grades 1-6 and French Immersion students from Grades 1-3. Our population is approximately 400 students with a staff of 27 teachers, 6 teacher assistants and 4 non-instructional staff. Our students can come from the Richmond area in the west to the New London area in the east. As an elementary school we offer the following: Core French for Grade 4, 5, 6 students; Physical Education and Music for all students; a Library Resource Centre; a Computer Lab; Resource support in both English and French Immersion; and a Guidance Counsellor. We are proud of our building and the surrounding green space, as both are well maintained and kept clean and beautiful.

We are a member of the League of Peaceful Schools. This culture and philosophy towards peace fosters a declaration and commitment to creating a safe and peaceful environment for all students. The goal of the Peaceful Schools is to model and teach non-violent conflict resolution skills to children, parents, teachers, and the greater community.

Due to the number of children suffering from severe allergies that may cause anaphylactic shock, we are a TOTALLY NUT FREE school. It is imperative that all respect this request as even the smell of nut products may result in death.
