Saturday September 3rd
The delegates decided to take a break from the meetings and relax that day.

This day was spent by the Maritimers asking questions about parts of the Canadian Document, they didn't understand what it was.
Monday September 5th
George Brown explained the problem between the federal and provincial government. Then he explained how the power would be divided up.
Canadians watched what was happening around the South of the border such as the civil war. They decided that it ws a problem in their constitution.
In the State anything that was given to do under the federal government the area ws up to the one state to decide. Canadians thought that this is what caused the southern state to get what they wanted. AlsoGeorge Brown spent the afternoon going over examples of how this would work in certain situations. The plan explained that day was pretty much what really happened.
Tuesday September 6th
It was the last day to ask questions about the plan, it was their chance to speak up on their thoughts and suggestions.
Wednesday September 7th
it was the last day of meetings and then they would go abord the ‘Queen Victoria' with their wives. (This showed how good the Canadians were as people.)
Thursday September 8th
This is the last day that the delegates would be in Charlottetown, so they threw a grand ball.
That was the Eight days of the Charlottetown Conference in 1864.
