Mrs.Gallant's grade 1 class did a project on cows and wanted to show you what they did. So here they are. Click on the students name to view their work.
Farmer Brown’s Farm Animals
Molly the cow
Molly is a big cow with black and qhite
spots all over her body. Her tail is long and
she uses it to chase away flies. On her head
she has two big brown eyes and two little
horns.
Molly lives on Farmer Brown’s farm. In
the winter, Molly stays in the barn but during
the summer she stays in the pasture. She
eats grass, hay and corn and drinks lots of
water. Farmer Brown leaves a lump of salt
in the pasture for molly to lick.
Every morning and evening Farmer
Brown milks Molly and the other cows.
Sometimes he milks her by hand or he uses
a milking machine. Farmer brown attaches
the milking machine to the teats on Molly’s
udder. The machine pumps out the milk.
Molly likes to be milked and often says moo
to Farmer Brown.
In the spring, Molly had a baby. It was a
little black and white calf. At first, the calf
drank milk from Molly’s udder. He stayed
with Molly until he was old enough to eat
other foods. The calf loved to run and play
with the other calfs in the pasture.
