Vietnam's flag is orange and it has a yellow star in the middle . Vietnam's neibors are China, Laos and Kampuchea. Northern Vietnam is quite mountainous especially the extreme north and northwest. The Red River (Song Hong) which originates in China`s Yunnan Province, is the principal river of the north and is about 1,167 km. (725 miles) in length. The river passes through the capital city of Hanoi . Just north of Ho Chi Minh City the landscape becomes more varied and rolling with forested hills. The central portion of Vietnam varies in width but is only 56 km wide (35 miles) at it's narrowest point.
The country also has six island grounds. The chief corps: rice, rubber, fruits, vegetable, soybeans, coffee, tea, and bananas. Their money is called the dong.
