Smoking is a very bad habit, probably the hardest to quit due to that large nicotine content. Taking a puff of a cigarette is the fastest way to get the worst possible drug cocktail to your brain, even faster than shoving a needle right in your vain!
There are lots of bad diseases and sicknesses that you can get from smoking. Here are some of them; cancer of the lips, mouth, throat, bronchia and lungs, bowel, kidney, bladder, and breast. Scientists have identified over 4 000 different chemicals in cigarettes so far.
Second hand smoke is just as bad as smoking itself. When you take a puff, all of the chemicals go to your lungs and then, through your blood vessels, and you exhale the carbon monoxide and a lot more bad things that some non-smoker standing by inhales, and it's like forcing somebody else to smoke. Over 300 Canadian non-smokers die a year from lung cancer.
When you take a puff of a cigarette, you inhale tar, nicotine, and all those other 4 000+ chemicals into your lungs, and it kills you day by day. Your lungs eventually turn black, and when they can't work hard enough to keep breathing, then you die.
Some more effects of smoking are that your breath stinks, your fingers smell and turn yellow, the stench sticks to your body and you smell, and your teeth turn yellow and rot.
So, the next time you want to go have a smoke, just think about what you're doing to yourself and others, and take a look at the following pictures:
