THAT WAS CHRISTMAS

BY: MELANIE BLANCHARD

Do you remember the
Sweet smell of cookies,
The fresh home made bread.
The tree in our living room,
It was standing so tall.
That was Christmas

The presents were nice
I heard some mice
my brother woke up screaming
It hurt my ears
It was hard on my mom.
That was Christmas

The sweet smell of new toys,
made me yell horay horay
My mom brought in Jesus' cake
and Marc and I blew out the candles
That was Christmas

The school plays are cool
The partys rule.
We give presents and Christmas cards
it's almost Christmas
It's Jesus' birthday
THAT WAS CHRISTMAS
