Solar Power

Description

Solar Power has been discovered to do many things. We have discovered that solar panels can be used on moving objects such as cars. Solar power means using energy from the sun and convert it to power so it can be used.

The Production of Power from Solar Energy

Step One: Solar panels make energy to operate either a DC motor or charge batteries

Step Two: The sun then is reflected and starts to heat up the panels
Step Three: The panels are then used to produce energy or power

Advantages of Solar Power:

Disadvantages of Solar Power:

  • -There is no pollution produced
    • -Not very much energy is produced--to make a useful amount of heat or electricity large numbers of solar panels are needed
    • -It has a very good supplement to other sources
  • -This can only be used in places in the world with lots of sunlight
  • -Versatile--can be used as energy for many things like satellites
    • -There is always going to be a source for fuel

In Canada there is many solar power plants. These plants are in most of our provinces such as Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, British Columbia, and more.
