Description

Wind power is electricity made by wind and is a cheaper and produces more electricity without polluting the air at all.

How Does Wind Power Produce Electricity?

Step 1: Wind moves the wings
Step 2: The wings move a turbine engine
Step 3: The engine is hooked up to a hard drive
Step 4: The hard drive then tells it how much electricity is flowing

Advantages of Wind Power

Disadvantages of Wind Power

  • Inexhaustible fuel source
  • Very diffuse source means low energy production large numbers of wind generators and this large land areas are required to produce useful amounts of heat or electricity
  • No pollution
  • Only areas of the world with lots of wind are suitable for wind power generation
  • Often an excellent supplement to other renewable sources
  • Relatively expensive to maintain
  • Where it is located in Canada.  In Canada we have about 4.8 million dollars worth of wind power material and are selling wind electricity to citizens as a monthly rate. Still in Canada we need our regular electricity because of the low wind. These wind power machines can be found on Prince Edward Island, at the West Cape.
